Walt Disney's favorite restaurant was the Tam o' Shanter Inn, which was conveniently located near his Los Feliz home and the offices of WDI, the division of his company more popularly known as Walt Disney Imagineering. Mr. Disney would often treat his imagineering staff to lunch at the restaurant and conducted impromptu meetings there.
The restaurant still stands today on Los Feliz Boulevard across from the Glendale Costco. The restaurant plays up its ties to Walt Disney and diners can request to be seated at Walt's favorite table. The restaurant is owned and operated by Lawrys, which sponsored DISNEYLAND's Mexican restaurant for many years.
