1969: Disneyland's Haunted Mansion

On August 9, 1969, DISNEYLAND opened its biggest attraction since Pirates of the Caribbean- the Haunted Mansion.

 

The highly anticipated attraction drew thousands of guests, resulting in the park's first over capacity closure.
