Ortensia is not Oswald's girlfriend- she's his wife. Even more bizarre? She's actually a cat. Ortensia was in six of the Disney era Oswald shorts, three of which were lost by Universal Pictures. When Universal Pictures began producing the shorts, they chose to not use Ortensia and she remained a "lost" character until 2010 when she was reunited with Oswald in the video game Epic Mickey.
In recent months, Disney California Adventure announced that Ortensia would return in a line of souvenirs, joining her beloved Oswald once again.
