The Academy Awards pretty much ignored Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in 1938. The public wasn't happy about it so the Academy decided to present Walt Disney with a whimsical, honorary trophy featuring a full sized statuette and seven small ones. Presented by Shirley Temple, the statue can be seen at the Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco's Presidio.
