In 1901 on December 5th in Chicago, Illinois, a baby was born in a house built by his father at 1249 Tripp Avenue. The boy's name would soon be known by billions around the world- Walt Disney.
The family would soon move out of Chicago, but the simple house still stands, over 100 years later. Last week, the company founded by Mr. Disney pledged $250,000 to assist in preserving his birthplace for future generations.
