The 100 acre DISNEYLAND parking lot, a staple of the parkgoing experience since 1955 is closed in 1998 to make way for the DISNEYLAND Resort expansion. The land would become Downtown Disney, Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Disney California Adventure.
