Rest in Peace, Dean Jones

Disney Legend Dean Jones has passed away at age 84.

Mr. Jones was personally selected by Walt Disney to be the studio's leading man in the mid 1960's, a position he held for over a decade, starring in such classic films as The Horse in the Grey Flannel Suit, The Shaggy D.A. and his biggest hit The Love Bug.

Mr. Jones began his showbiz career in 1956, taking acting roles to make ends meet while he pursued a singing career. The singing career never materialized, but his acting career took off when Walt Disney took a chance on him. The risk was handsomely rewarded, as the public took a liking to Dean and made him one of the biggest box office draws of the 60's and 70's.

In 1995, Dean Jones' hard work and dedication were rewarded when he became an official Disney Legend- an honor his millions of fans had unofficially bestowed upon him years before.
